An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to join the Cleft Palate Team within the Plastic Surgery Department as Cleft Service Co-ordinator on a fixed term contract.

Post holder will be required to provide an efficient administrative service to the Consultants and the full Cleft Team.
  • Key elements of this role include: co-ordination of the northern part of the Northern and Yorkshire Cleft Lip and Palate Service and manage the non-clinical aspects of the service; co-ordinating the activities of the multi-disciplinary Cleft Lip and Palate Service Team, to ensure provision of an efficient, timely and seamless service for children with cleft lip and palate. The post-holder will work closely with the Lead Clinician to facilitate the planning, organisation and delivery of services. You will be a central point of contact for the service. You will coordinate the provision of an efficient and effective administrative service to support the planning, organisation and delivery of care for these children.

    The ability to work independently and follow the policies and procedures for the department is essential. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, reliability and must have an organised approach to work. This role has lots of variety and ad-hoc demands and the post holder must possess excellent time management and planning skills. The position provides the opportunity to work within a very supportive and welcoming team and to further develop existing knowledge and skills.
