Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who can work as a member of a team providing clerical support for the busy MSK Service at the Friarage Hospital. Candidates should have reception/clerical experience and good communication skills. Organisational capability and the ability to work as part of a team are essential to this post. Experience of working in a health care environment and knowledge of Systmone and Choose & Book would be desirable., Communicating well with staff, patients, external agencies and the general public across a range of settings.

To run electronic diaries for staff in the MSK Service including making new appointments and review appointments

Undertake general receptionist duties including directing patients, carers and visitors, answering telephone queries and sorting mail.

Data input into Systmone

Assist senior administrative team members in the management of all aspects of the booking of clinic appointments.

Provide cover for Physiotherapy Reception.

To be effective in this role you must be able to work as part of a team, have an excellent telephone manner and be capable of sustaining a high level of client service.

Previous experience in a busy office/reception environment is beneficial. We require a flexible and organised person to join the team and assist in the smooth running of the service.

Good communication skills are necessary and the post holder would need to have good organisational skills and be competent in IT. Knowledge of SystmOne would be desirable.

The Friarage Hospital in Northallerton is an essential part of our organisation and an important point of delivery for the community. It is one of the smallest district general hospitals in the country and has 189 inpatient beds.
