Full Job Description
We are looking for a friendly individual with a positive approach, to work as part of the team in the Breast Unit. Suitably qualified applicants are invited to apply for the post of Clerical Assistant, joining a dedicated team of staff providing administrative support to the Department. The Breast Screening Service invites approximately 50,000 clients per year for well woman breast screening and also provides a Breast Symptomatic Service. This post holder will be a valuable member of the Team and will often be the first point of contact in representing the Service/Department.
A flexible approach to work within the core hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm
Main duties of the job
The post holder will join a team of friendly staff motivated to provide an efficient administration service to patients attending the department and will include but not limited to: provision of an effective and efficient administration office, dealing with queries and telephone calls in a professional manner.
The post holder will assist with data entry using appropriate IT systems. Good attention to detail and accuracy is a requirement of the role.
The role will require the post holder to collect notes from Health Records.
Provide cover at reception facilitating logging of attendees and booking appointments.
Dealing with queries from service users including GP, patients and other external departments.
General office duties as required.
