Full Job Description

An excellent opportunity is now available to work as part of the Central Administration Team as a clerical administrative officer ensuring that patients coming into the departments are dealt with in an efficient, timely and courteous manner. Supporting the medical staff and using the Care flow patient administration system. Working in a large admin and clerical team you will be integral to the running of the central admin functions, supporting our patients christie experience., The successful candidate will rotate between all Central Administration areas and will learn a wide array of skills from frontline services to back-office duties.

The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year. We are based in Manchester and serve a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 15% patients are referred to us from other parts of the country.

We provide radiotherapy through one of the largest radiotherapy departments in the world; chemotherapy on site and through 14 other hospitals; highly specialist surgery for complex and rare cancer; and a wide range of support and diagnostic services. We are also an international leader in research, with world first breakthroughs for over 100 years.

We run one of the largest early clinical trial units in Europe with over 300 trials every year. Cancer research in Manchester, most of which is undertaken on the Christie site, has been officially ranked the best in the UK.

This is a 37.5-hour contract, and the successful candidate will need to adapt to different Circumstances responding flexibly to changing needs working various shift patterns between the hours of 08:00am and 20:00pm, subject to change.
