Full Job Description

The post holder (s) will provide a comprehensive administration and information service across the Community & Wellbeing Network, coordinating their activities with other members of the Business Administration Team to ensure that an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will be aligned to the South Ribble admin hub supporting the Penwortham & Longton District Nursing team working from Penwortham Health Centre and is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the Networks administrative service. They may be required to provide cover to departments on various sites, primarily Bamber Bridge Clinic, Leyland House and Buckshaw Health Centre, as directed by their administration line manager, to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.

The post holder will have a good standard of education with qualifications in English, Maths and Word Processing. Excellent computer skills are required. One of the primary purposes of this role is to provide a comprehensive administration, therefore general administration experience is essential in order to provide a professional service to the clinical teams.

In addition the post holder will also be required to provide a reception and telephony service to the clinical teams in the Preston locality and travel to the Clinics and Health Centres as required. Therefore experience of dealing with people is essential, as are excellent interpersonal and customer care skills. It is essential that the post holder has good organisational and communication skills. The post holder will be required to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
