Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join an excellent award winning team in Sheffield. We need a motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic individual(s) to work autonomously and as part of a team.
To provide reception/clerical support to the Podiatry Service in order that clinical staff can deliver an efficient and quality service to those patients seeking treatment. we have held the Customer Service Excellence award for 28 years and the admin team have been an important part of this fabulous achievement.
This is a part time role working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. (22.5 hours), Provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical/reception support to the relevant members of the Podiatry Service and patients, be first point of contact for patients and service users.
Answer telephone in a timely and professional manner in line with the organisation's PROUD values and frequently check answerphone messages from patients and staff.
Co-ordinate and manage the respective rotas for patient clinics based across the city. Proactively check for free slots in clinic on a regular basis.
Book appointments for patients, ensuring that high risk patients are seen within agreed waiting times and send out letters detailing date, time and place of appointment. Book interpreters for patients who require this.
Cancel appointments where necessary and ensure that all patients are informed and booked back into alternative appointments.
Undertake referral process for access to podiatry services and send out relevant forms to patients and clinicians. Download new referrals, register all patients using SystmOne and ensure referrals are ready for triaging on a daily basis.
