Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic & motivated person to join the friendly clerical team in Radiology at Torbay Hospital working 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday 8.30 - 17.00 (1-hour lunch) with the potential of evening & weekend working.
You will be working on a rotational basis covering a number of admin roles that will include all aspects of clerical/admin duties in the call centre and Radiology office. The department is fast paced and we are continually evolving; the need to be flexible is paramount.
Often you will be the first key point of contact for a patient who contacts Radiology whether that be face to face or telephone and will be responsible for ensuring appointments are booked correctly and appropriately.
This role is varied and full training will be given ensuring that you will have the ability to work both as a team member and with your own initiative. Good keyboard and communication skills are essential and experience of clinical IT systems would be an advantage.

Our call centre team are responsible for booking the majority of Radiology Outpatient appointments. You must be able to work independently demonstrating excellent prioritisation and time management skills whilst having the ability to cope with complex situations.
