I wish them every success for the forthcoming year.", We are looking for an extremely organised, effective and flexible Clerk to the Governors to join the Trinity team reporting to the Chair of Governors. The successful candidate will also provide secretarial support for Sevenoaks Churches Educational Trust (SCET).

You will be an individual who prides themselves on attention to detail, able to take accurate minutes, prepare agendas in consultation with the Chair of Committee and Headteacher and collate & distribute papers for meetings in a timely manner. Other responsibilities will be providing advice and information to the governing body.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of strong Governance and that the Clerk plays a pivotal role. Previous secretarial, office or administrative experience is essential and school experience would be a distinct advantage. A positive attitude and calm manner with the ability to prioritise and deal with a demanding workload is vital. You will be an excellent communicator, have a professional approach and be able to deal with complex matters both face to face and in writing. Candidates will have strong MS office skills e.g. Word and be competent users of email.

Fourteen Governors make up the Trinity Governing Body. Ten are foundation Governors who are elected by Sevenoaks Churches Education Trust, two are parent Governors, one is a staff Governor, and we also have co-opted Governors. As a team we have a vast array of experience across many sectors ranging from education to finance. We are passionate about the ethos and values of the school and committed to providing effective support and robust challenge to Senior Leaders., Trinity School is a popular and oversubscribed Christian Free School in Sevenoaks. We received 691 applications for 180 school places for September 2024 new student intake.
