Are you ready to drive our firm's growth and success? Join our dynamic Business Development team as a Client Account Manager, where you'll collaborate with the Head of Business Development and Sector Business Partners to shape and execute our strategic goals.
Your focus will be on cultivating public sector and infrastructure opportunities, including central government. You'll spearhead efforts to win and retain profitable work, work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize our sales pipeline, and ensure delivery of our Bids Promises. You'll also play a pivotal role in client relationship development, strategic planning, and sharing best practices.

  • Work with the Head of Business Development to develop strategic business plans to win and retain profitable work for our public sector teams, with a focus on government and infrastructure opportunities.


  • Work with the Bids team and Sector teams to identify and track sales pipeline, including contract renewals.


  • Work closely with Client Relationship partners, CRM teams, and Account Managers to develop opportunities, particularly at framework level.


  • Work with legal framework owners to ensure we deliver our Bids Promises and Client commitments, and prepare for framework reviews and retender


  • Work with the Marketing team to support campaign driven activity, promotion of new products, and ensure alignment with client need


  • Plan and attend client relationship meetings with CRPs, when appropriate.


  • Share best practice through internal communication channels and stakeholder engagement forums.


  • Analyse key client and prospect data and facilitate dashboard reporting for key stakeholders at a firmwide and sector level.


  • Facilitate client development workshops to identify opportunities and drive CRM activity.


  • Assist in the development and delivery of the sales and business development training programme, and development of sales tools


  • Work closely with Client Listening colleagues to obtain feedback and use the insight to grow and secure client relationships.


  • Develop an internal and external network to share market insight and client intelligence, and create market-facing opportunities.


  • Promote the effective use of CRM database to support the management and growth of client accounts through the sales pipeline.

    Experience of working in the professional services sector and/or selling legal services is ideal


  • Knowledge of Public Sector, Central Government, Infrastructure would be advantageous


  • Experience of developing relationships with potential and existing clients


  • Proven experience of managing client accounts, developing client plans and client growth strategies


  • Strong understanding of the market and its influencers and a track record of using this knowledge to generate growth opportunities


  • Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt style to different audiences and channels


  • Highly credible with the ability to influence, challenge and coach senior stakeholders, and to build strong relationships with all levels of lawyers.


  • Strong networking skills - ability to connect the right people to opportunities


  • Highly pro-active, self-motivated, resourceful


  • Strong project management experience and proven / strong track record of creating and delivering complex projects with the ability to manage to tight deadlines.


  • Strong thirst for technical knowledge and application of knowledge to generate ideas.


  • Proven experience of implementing best practice and initiatives for continuous improvement.


  • High levels of numeracy and strong ability to analyse information, including data manipulation
