Are you looking for a role that will allow you to be involved with clients and insurers whist managing and developing a team of Client Advisors?

By joining Marsh Commercial in our Peterborough office this opportunity would see you join a successful team and work closely with colleagues, clients and insurers to provide a first-class service.

What can you expect?

Working in collaboration with the management team in Peterborough you will manage a team of Client Advisors on a wide range of insurance programmes focusing on Commercial clients.

You would be responsible for leading a team of Client Advisors whilst having ownership of the full renewal process of your own client portfolio.

The role will involve being an active part of the Peterborough Management Team as well as working with Client Executives in strategy meetings, gathering / analysing data, working with clients and insurers to obtain quotations, create reports and finalise placements.

You will have all the necessary support, training and resources to develop your own career and skills, and to drive the skills in your team forward., To prepare, plan, conduct and document regular performance management conversations with each individual in the team.

To conduct and document regular reviews of career goals and actions and coach development using a PDP (Personal Development Plan) and Talent Mapping analysis.

To analyse business MI to identify trends and patterns for business opportunities and put corrective actions in place, coaching for better results.

To walk the floor and support with technical and soft skills areas of opportunity and provide on hand support in real time.

To identify, support, monitor and embed any key training / development areas of the team and its members, through effective feedback and coaching.

Provide clear direction and guidance to the team.

To lead by example, celebrating success, recognising everyone's roles and contributions.

Providing guidance and support with goal setting for the short, medium and long term for individuals.

To communicate and carry out regular team briefing comprising business updates and training.

Ability to manage own time and that of others, prioritise workloads effectively, creating a good work life balance and ensure team is appropriately staffed to meet client needs.

Actively participate as a member of the Hessle leadership team to assist in the development of strategy, client service, growth and recruitment within this highly successful office

To assist the Head of Office to achieve strategic goals.

Cert CII qualified (or equivalent)

Proven experience of Account Handling with small to medium UK Accounts

Dynamic with a drive to continually improve service to clients

A passion for making a difference to the working lives, skills and success of colleagues

Ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to work flexibly when required

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple issues / challenges simultaneously

Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office products

What makes you stand out :

Previous Team Leader or Management experience preferred, or the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities

ACII (or equivalent) or working towards preferred
