Full Job Description

We are expanding the team, if you enjoy providing a great service and working in a team, we have just the opportunity for you at our Weston Super Mare practice to start as soon as possible. What your typical day will look like:

  • Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets - providing a link between clients and the clinical team.
  • Greeting each client and their pets in a friendly manor and offering support, guidance, and expertise.
  • Managing both cash and card payments confidently.
  • Booking appointments appropriately for the clinical team, ensuring the diary is well managed each day.
  • Answering phone calls and email enquiries from clients.
  • Assisting the clinical team in dispensing medication.
  • Ensuring the reception area and consulting rooms are kept clean and to high standard throughout the day.
  • We can be flexible; the role will be a Full-Time role working 40 hours per week including 1 in 4 Saturdays.

  • You will be a friendly and welcoming face for the client(s) and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
  • You will have customer service experience and reception experience.
  • You will keep yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services available so you can confidently advise clients.
  • You will be calm, attentive, and always focus on the clients' needs whilst bringing enthusiasm and drive to your role
  • To be successful in this role being able to multitask is essential.
  • You will be able to deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy's first visit to the vet.
  • In short, you like to be busy, enjoy helping people and their pets and always endeavour to make a difference.
