Full Job Description

Working with and providing support to service users assessed as lacking mental capacity to administer their financial affairs in conjunction with their social/support worker. You will carry out duties in relation to Corporate Appointee or Deputyship services on behalf of the Council, with specific responsibilities for:

Act in the best interests of all clients at all times, including the claiming of and review of benefit entitlements for clients and checking the receipt of benefit monies against expected amounts. Liaison with clients and their case workers to ensure appropriate use of personal expenditure from monies held on their behalf.

  • You will have excellent organisational and IT skills with a good working knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

    You will be expected to contribute positively to the development and improvement of our business processes and procedures.

    All the roles require the right candidate with attention to detail, a flexible approach to the working day and the ability to think on your feet, rest assured no two days are the same!

  • Experience of working within a Social services/Public Sector environment would be desirable but not essential.

  • Knowledge of Adult Social Care case management systems (i.e., MOSAIC) and financial systems is also desirable.

  • Applicants should have English and Maths GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above.
