Full Job Description

  • In this key role, you'll be responsible for regular reporting, forecasting and providing insight on our climate goals and engaging colleagues on the subject
  • Working with stakeholders across the bank, you'll deliver robust and accurate reporting and develop a shared commitment to climate plans and goals

  • What you'll do As a Climate Reporting Manager, you'll be leading carbon accounting and reporting activities for scopes 1, 2 and relevant scope 3 operational emissions. This will involve demonstrating how we're meeting our reporting and disclosure requirements in relation to climate and environmental issues and driving progress across the business. You'll be analysing data and compiling our operational carbon footprint, building forecast scenarios, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping to align our carbon reduction plans to external best practice. On top of this, you'll be:
  • Leading the production of monthly climate related metrics for internal use, as well as compiling monthly dashboard reports for franchises and legal entities
  • Engaging key data owners and third party suppliers across our business to improve data quality and ensure the timely and accurate reporting of our greenhouse gas emissions
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors to make sure our data is robust and independently verified to carbon standards and frameworks
  • Providing an accurate narrative of impacts for internal and external reporting
  • Keeping pace with relevant legislation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and for emerging methods to drive continuous improvement

    To succeed in this role, you'll need the ability to take ownership for carbon accounting and reporting activities, to engage effectively with data owners and ensure complete, accurate, credible and auditable data related to greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Alongside experience of analysing data and creating clear management information to inform decisions, you'll bring a combination of technical capability and strong communication skills to deliver information to different audiences, internally, or externally when needed, to create concise and compelling information. Additionally, you'll need:
  • Expertise in designing or critiquing carbon accounting processes and controls, and mitigating control weaknesses
  • The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders of all levels
  • Demonstrable creative and innovative thinking skills, with the ability to drive improvements and add value
  • Experience of working within a complex matrix structured organisation
