Full Job Description

The Clinical Support Officer, under the supervision of the Clinic Support Coordinators provides day-to-day reception and clerical support to the Community Clinics within Trafford as required. Together with the Clinic Support Coordinators, the post holder will be the first point of contact with clinic users, other agencies, and the general public., Provide a central reception facility within community premises.

Provide clerical support to clinical services that hold sessions on the premises, and to the School Health Service, arranging appointments and retrieving and filing clinic records.

Prepare and maintain appropriate files and records and undertake general filing and routine typing duties, including the scanning of school records.

Update computerised information for children attending community premises or at schools for which those premises provide a nursing and medical service as appropriate.

Ensure that statistical information is recorded accurately and submitted promptly.

Participate in the sale and distribution of clinical stock and the related financial procedures, and re-order stock as necessary.

Maintain stationery supplies, order as necessary, and check deliveries against order sheets.

Sort and distribute internal mail and post external mail.

Arrange routine maintenance for the premises as necessary.

Receive and ensure distribution of supplies within the premises.

Liaise with clinic users and other staff with regard to room usage.
