We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our dynamic team in the Paediatric Forensic and Child Death Team based within Children's Services. You should be self-motivated, reliable and well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to demonstrate administration experience with appropriate qualifications, be able to work efficiently and methodically with good attention to detail without direct supervision. The post holder should be flexible to the needs of the service with a positive and proactive attitude. If successful, you will be responsible for liaising with clinical and non-clinical professional staff for the delivery of a high standard of care. Your role will directly impact patient experience and be part of providing seamless delivery of care.

- Overseeing the review of all child deaths occurring within our Trust
- Liaising with regional coroners for management of post-mortem reports
- Liaising with regional child death coordinators, action their queries and provide them with up to date and accurate child death forms
- Full management and maintenance of the Trust Child Death Review database
- Adding to the Trust Mortality Database as a when a death is reported
- Arranging, attending and minuting child death and Joint Agency Review meetings (when covering CDOP Co coordinator)
- Putting together forensic packs required for 'Sudden Death - SUDIC' records
- Compiling and creating quarterly reports which show death statistics, outcomes and learning, for the trust designated Doctor for Child Death
- Prepare relevant paperwork prior to assessments and follow up correspondence
- Updating spreadsheets/ data collection and supporting departmental audit activity
- Organising meetings with stakeholders and preparing agenda items. Minute taking for departmental meetings and stakeholders
- Diary management and clinic typing for consultant paediatrician
- Accepting statement requests and preparing necessary paperwork for court
- Managing subject access requests to include release of sensitive images for expert opinion
- Invoicing for statements
- Managing nurse out of hours rota
- Archiving notes, The forensic team conduct medical assessments on children and young people from the age of 0-16 years who have disclosed sexual abuse or sexual assault. The department also sees children who have alleged physical abuse. The role will involve day-to-day support for the nursing and medical team. Duties will include typing medical reports to meet nationally defined timescales. You will work with the child death team to provide a comprehensive administrative service and distribute child death notifications and other relevant documents as well as oversee the review of all child deaths occurring within our Trust. Applicants need to be aware that the subject matter can include distressing information, and support is available from the psychologist allocated to the team.

- Communicates with patients regarding appointments and admissions at the request of the medical team
- Provide cover for Team Leader within your administration team as required
