Full Job Description
The clinical Assistants work alongside Junior Doctors to support their ward rounds and administrative tasks. The post holder will work under the supervision of doctors and will assist them in delivering patient care.
The post holder will gain competence in certain skills, (cannulation, phlebotomy and ECG's)
The post holder will form part of a rota which will provide support for the surgical team seven days a week, including bank holidays., 1. The post holder is an integral part of the surgical team and will be embedded within the team rather than attached to a specific ward. They will therefore be involved in the care of all the patients under the care of that team despite their geographical location within the hospital.
2. The post holder will work under the supervision of doctors and will assist them in delivering patient care. The post holder will work with some autonomy and will be expected to be self-motivated and use judgement and initiative. The post holder must be comfortable working in a large and multidisciplinary team in a busy and acute environment.
3. The post holder will gain competence in certain skills, (Cannulation, phlebotomy and ECG's) and will maintain their level of competence.
4. The post holder will form part of a rota which will provide support for the surgical team seven days a week, including bank holidays
