Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join our dedicated team, here at Brookside Group Practice. If you have office admin experience or perhaps you are a graduate looking for a new challenge? Looking to work between 25-28 hours a week? How about joining our friendly, dedicated team?

The successful candidate will work as part of the team, managing key tasks including:

Medical note sorting and summarising

Coding

Clinical paperwork

Patient online access

IT literacy, together with EMIS experience would be preferred, although not essential, as training will be provided, Support the GPs and other clinicians by reducing their documentation workload and maintaining accurate, concise medical records. We, therefore, spend a lot of time investing in team meetings and communication across the organisation. We are a member of Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Group.

We recently won the HSJ (Health Services Journal) Digital Award for our innovative work we've done to refine our triage processes and model of care.

Other key aspects of the Practice include:

Use of Anima to aid triage/consultation

Strong IT and systems including Emis Web, Accu-Rx, DXS, Docman

Longstanding Training Practice with GP registrars, Physician associate trainees and others

Four GCSEs (C and above) or equivalent

A minimum of 12 months experience in administration, data input or be a graduate

Knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft Office packages and other basic IT skills

Detail orientated with the ability to follow instructions and policies, work under pressure and be able to work with minimum supervision

Enjoy working within a team, working together and be willing to help and assist other where possible

Understand the importance of strict confidentiality when dealing with any patient details and company information

Experience of using EMIS Web and Docman 10 is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Experience of working with the NHS or medical environment would be advantageous

Able to communicate succesfully and apply good common sense

The Practice serves approximately 31,000 patients from our 4 surgeries in Earley, Lower Earley, Winnersh and Wilderness Road.
