Job objectives and responsibilities

  • Submit monthly Radiology Diagnostic Imaging Dataset (DID submission) to NHS Digital
  • Produce, analysis and present data from RIS as required for ad hoc queries/ audits and any DOH/ NHS England requests
  • To participate SWL data analytic team meetings and provide new data set accordingly.
  • Responding to FOI requests within the stipulated time period
  • Provide activity reports, database queries for research purposes, report turnover times, appointments and DNA reports, examinations not completed on RIS, and reports not authorised on RIS or other associated ad hoc queries for Clinicians and associated staff outside of Imaging Department.
  • Providing support on Diagnostics Waiting Times and Activity (DM01) acquisition.
  • Produce month/ weekly data as required for Radiology management team and other departments

    Knowledge of DICOM, HL7 and GP order comms systems Data analysis experience using standard Microsoft tools.
  • Experience of managing small departmental IT projects Experience of trouble shooting and resolving IT systems queries within agreed boundaries.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of RIS and PACS technology and its applications in an imaging department.
  • Ability to identify the need for and to develop policy to support the operation of complex IT systems Aware of service level management and familiar with service delivery economics. Understanding of the principles of audit and of providing data for audit
