Full Job Description

This would be an ideal post for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who in addition to developing their assessment and therapy skills is keen to expand their experience of group-work, psychological consultation, staff training and supervision. The post holder will be based at Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa.
The post holder will join a friendly and well-established team of psychologists, a CBT therapist, an assistant psychologist and mental health and wellbeing practitioners. The team also work closely with psychological professionals working with individuals with psychosis and psychotherapists in the Personality and Complex Trauma Pathway.
The team are dedicated to high quality evidence-based service provision including Trauma-focused CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, EMDR, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
The newly formed community mental health team are a multi-disciplinary team, so as well as being a core part of the psychology team, you will work alongside our team of Nurses, Doctors, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers and Social Care staff. This provides a rich source of expertise to provide the best patient care.
The team prides itself on providing a supportive, friendly atmosphere with team events to ensure cohesive team working.
We welcome new ideas to the service and support a variety of training and development opportunities for staff and the service., The service regularly offers core and specialist trainee placements as it has strong links with the Coventry and Warwickshire Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our South Warwickshire Community Mental Health Team. The service works with individuals with complex trauma and mental health presentations.
Psychological professions staff are embedded within the Community Mental Health Team and we are therefore looking for someone who values and enjoys multi-disciplinary working and has a high level of understanding of the distinct contribution and added value that psychological approaches can make to the team.
If appointed to the band 7 role this will be a development post with progression to the Band 8a role upon the successful completion of competency requirements. It is expected that this will be achievable within a period of 18 months to two years and will be dependent on the experience of the successful candidate. Whilst these requirements are not met, the role will remain as a Band 7. Therefore we welcome applications from newly qualified clinical or counselling psychologists including those expecting to complete their clinical training this year.
