Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team. We are a specialist service for complex cases of PTSD. We provide assessment; evidence based psychological treatment and case management for service users and offer supervision, consultation and support to trust services and community organisations on understanding and managing PTSD. The TSC has specialist expertise in working with traumatised refugees and asylum seekers, survivors of childhood abuse, torture survivors, veterans', managing major incidents and working cross culturally.
This is a 12 month fixed-term 0.6 WTE position . We are based at St Pancras Hospital, with good transport links. You will be expected to provide face to face clinical work with some remote working for admin and meetings.
We are especially keen to employ a diverse team of clinicians to ensure that we continue to meet the needs and languages of our service users.
To discuss this role further, please contact Mary Robertson by e mail: [email protected] or telephone: , You will work directly with service users with PTSD who have experienced multiple traumatic events and coming from a wide range of diverse backgrounds. You will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, consultation and evidence based treatment for PTSD. You will also be providing clinical and professional supervision of assistant psychologists and support supervision of trainee psychologists, The role of the clinical psychologist will include psychological assessment and providing specialist psychological interventions for PTSD, supervision of assistant psychologists, and offering consultation and advice to other professionals.

Ideally you will have previous experience working with adults presenting with PTSD and have training in EMDR or NET in addition to trauma focused CBT. You must have experience working with interpreters.
