Full Job Description

Successful applicants will provide psychological assessment and interventions across the breadth of client groups and presentations that are seen in the team. There are opportunities for specialising in a particular area. There will be opportunities to provide supervision, consultation, reflective practice and training to the multi-disciplinary teams and you will be supported to do this.

You would be working with other psychology colleagues to deliver and develop the service in a multidisciplinary team environment where the contribution of psychology is well-respected and valued.

The successful applicant(s) would be line managed and supervised by the Principal Psychologists based in the CMHTs. The Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Adult Mental Health Psychology Lead also provides support.

There is a very large, diverse psychology service of different specialities within the trust that provides extensive support and regular CPD opportunities through monthly psychology meetings and active peer supervision networks. The Trust enjoys good links with Oxford and Leicester Doctoral training courses and there are opportunities to participate in higher education teaching.

Northamptonshire is a pleasant area with a mix of rural and urban locations and is within easy distance of other key locations in the Midlands with excellent rail and road links.

These permanent posts benefit from a recruitment incentive of £5,000 pro rata for successful candidates over 2.5 years. Initial payment of £2,000 will be made in the 1st month with a subsequent payment of £2,000 made on the 13th month of employment. The remaining £1,000 will be paid out in the 18th month of employment. Terms and conditions apply.

A relocation package is available up to £8, 000, if the successful postholder relocates to Northamptonshire and meet other eligibility criteria. This is subject to approval.
