Full Job Description

The post holder will deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulations and interventions, working alongside a Principal Clinical Psychologist. The post holder ideally will have skills in neuro-psychological assessment and working with behaviours that indicate distress in older people. You will offer training to the Ward Team, Reflective Practice and support with service evaluations and audits. You will be a valued member of the MDT, working alongside Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Physiotherapists and Speech and Language Therapy. The post holder will have access to supervision from a Principal Clinical Psychologist. They will be offered training and CPD opportunities within the mental health trust. If you're passionate about working with older adults both those with dementia or those with a broad range of mental health presentations, enjoy working with the MDT undertake shared formulations and clinical supervision, then this is the role for you. You will have a significant role working with the ward MDT to develop collaborative, trauma informed formulations, that inform least restrictive patient care.
