Full Job Description

To manage the clinical database within the hospice, seeking new approaches on the management, storage, pooling, and demonstration of data. To lead on system improvement ideas and requests, scoping, prioritising and project managing the change process. To provide support and training to administrative colleagues for system administration tasks and specialist training on SystmOne to ensure consistency in recording. To maintain high data quality, through completion of regular system audits and cleansing of data. To lead on any clinical dataset testing and data modelling updates, liaising closely with key personnel to ensure consistency in recording and robust testing. To be a key link with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), delivering quarterly presentations to demonstrate outcomes, providing data and strengthening the demonstration of delivery of care from St Clare Hospice. Work with the Head of Quality and Governance to consider new and innovative ways to manage Business Intelligence (BI)
within the Hospice. To contribute to the design and delivery of any ad hoc reports required internally by partner providers or funders (NHS or otherwise). Represent the hospice within the national SystmOne membership and conference, ensuring that St Clare Hospice is learning from best practice. Support all teams in building the profile of the BI/data aspect of patient care and work with clinicians to become more confident in using data to support service provision. Manage the organisations clinical dashboard and provide insight to needs of the service and how this should be reflected in data provided. Manage and chair the quarterly database steering group working with clinical teams, responding to system change requests, making appropriate changes and managing expectation of the teams around this.
