Full Job Description

You will be part of a team which includes 13 Consultants, Speciality Doctors, a full junior medical team and one Specialist Nurses.

We are active in the teaching of both Medical Students and Obstetrics and Gynaecology Trainees as part of the Nottingham Medical School rotation.

Participation in out of hours work will be expected.

Main duties of the job

The over-riding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.

You will be expected to undertake the following duties:

Provision of a service to Sherwood Forest Hospitals, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness, and the proper functioning of the department

the post holder is expected to contribute towards the teaching and training of medical students, Dedicated Training Programme Director for the Clinical Fellow Development Programme, Mr Irfan Akhtar, to offer advice and support

Portfolio meetings are carried out with Mr Irfan Akhtar

Study leave allocation - 10 days plus £500.00 per year

Salary £49,909 per annum plus out of hours allowances as per the Doctors and dentists in training terms and conditions (England) 2016

Specific training sessions arranged to cover topics relevant to overseas doctors starting their careers in the NHS

Support for Appraisal and Revalidation

27 days annual leave per year

Supported by the Resident Doctors on your 'base' ward on a day to day basis

Assigned an Educational Supervisor on commencement who will support you throughout your time on the programme, £49,909 a year per annum pro rata (plus OOH allowances)
