Full Job Description

You will work closely with the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, and liaise with Matrons, Ward Leaders, the Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) to provide digital education to improve compliance and correct use of the clinical digital systems and improve service delivery.

You will need to undertake regular audits, and to develop educational training packages to ensure the needs of the staff are met.

A key part of this role is being in a great position to help collect feedback to support ongoing developments of clinical digital systems.

The use of capturing patient information on electronic systems is increasing and as a Trust, we are becoming more reliant on using digital to manage our patient care and day-to-day running of the wards. To make sure we do this to the best of our ability, you will need to be passionate about digital and experienced at using clinical digital systems, for example, InPatient Noting, eWhiteboards, DigiRounds, UHS Apps, EPMA etc... As this is an educational role you will be developing and implementing training packages for clinical staff on our digital applications. You do not need to be a technical wizard, just passionate about always improving and believing in the power of information.

As this role will require you to work across all specialties across the Trust, it will provide you with an opportunity to raise your profile, develop and practice excellent leadership and communication skills and support quality improvement., We are looking for someone who is passionate about always improving ways of working and understands the power that information can provide to support patient safety and quality improvements.

You will have experience of using digital systems such as InPatient Noting and eWhiteboards and will be able to provide a mixture of ad-hoc and structured training either on the wards or classroom style.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a desire to further develop your leadership style.

You will demonstrate initiative, influence colleagues, and problem-solving skills while working in a variety of clinical and classroom settings.

You will have experience in leading change, educating and developing staff.

You will bring a track record of presenting information to a variety of people.
