Full Job Description
We are looking for versatile, enthusiastic individual to join our Trust as Clinical Director to support us on our improvement and transformation journey.
This is an exciting time in for the Trust as we are on a journey to bring together all NHS community and mental health services provided in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, including services formerly provided by Solent NHS Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, that delivered Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services CAMHS in Hampshire.
The Clinical Director will set the clinical vision for the Forensic and Secure services, you will understand and recognise the impact of national and regional health and social care agenda on the strategic direction of the division, taking this into account, forward planning and future proofing clinical services as appropriate.
The Clinical Director will be accountable for the quality of all clinical services within the Forensic and Secure services, directly supporting the clinicians to offer great care, great value for money, and a great place to work for staff. You will lead by example, provide strong and visible clinical leadership, using your leadership skills to supporting safe, efficient, and quality service delivery., You will set the strategic direction and vision for the Forensic and Secure services and lead a strong and dynamic team ensuring that organisational strategic objectives are achieved. You will develop and deliver the strategic and operational plans to ensure the trusts objectives are met. You will be a member of the Trust Leadership Team, supporting the Trust in all its strategic objectives, creating a culture and vision for the Trust that embraces change.
You will help shape a learning culture and collaborative ethos within the Division distilling learning from patient experience, complaints, incidents and other sources to constantly improve quality of patient care. You will develop clinical standards and governance within the Division and also provide expert advice, which may include for example, clinical advice and management on matters of individual patient care and treatment, matters related to safety, learning from serious incidents, and or complaints.
The Clinical Director is required to participate in the appropriate on-call rota.
A minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week to be worked, in order to remain clinically credible and meet revalidation or other professional obligations subject to Chief Nurse/Chief Medical Officer approval to meet Trust requirements.
