Full Job Description

The Practice Development Team at UHCW has a wide and varied scope including supporting the Trust's successful Pathway to Excellence journey, the Internationally Educated Nurse OSCE programme, our well-established preceptorship programme, the Professional Nurse Advocate role, the induction and ongoing development of our Healthcare Support Worker workforce, and supporting the continuing professional development of our current nursing and AHP workforce. To continue to support these workstreams, we are seeking to recruit a full time Band 6 Clinical Education Facilitator.

Practice Development are an established team with a robust support infrastructure, managed by a senior nursing team under the direction of the Practice Development Lead and Associate Director of Nursing for Education and Research., 1. The post holder will work as a member of the Practice Development Team, working in partnership with stakeholders such as Ward Managers, Modern Matrons, Clinical Educators and others to support the implementation of evidence based practice and the professional development of staff in clinical practice.

2. In addition they will facilitate the development and maintenance of positive practice environments; thereby contributing to the continual development of quality services provided to patients and others who come into contact with the Trust.

3. The post holder will be clinically based, placing the clinical environment at the centre of their activities, and will participate in specific projects related to nursing, midwifery and nursing associate practice.
