Full Job Description

Hours of work: 24 hours per week to be worked over 3 days. Days to be worked will be discussed and agreed at interview. Daily working hours are 08:00 to17:00.

Can you provide educational leadership to clinical staff to enhance specialised, person-centered care within Dove House Hospice?

Are you able to support the Head of Nursing, Therapies and Quality to ensure the nursing team is competent and confident in their role?

Are you able to ensure members of the clinical team comply with all statutory training requirements? If the answers are yes, then team Dove House is for you!

The role is based at the hospice down Chamberlain Road.

You will be responsible for the planning and delivering clinical skills training, overseeing clinical placements and will be the named assessor, to shadow and assess the practical clinical skills competencies for nurses, care assistants and volunteers as required.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing education and training programs for clinical staff within the hospice.

The core function of the role ensures that all staff members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families in a hospice setting.

The role will design, deliver and evaluate a range of clinical education for staff and learners in the organisation.

Working strategically and collaboratively with clinical services to develop clinical competencies, implement and evaluate initiatives to sustain such competencies
