Full Job Description

The post-holder will:
· Work with the IEH and the UHL Education and Practice Development Team to identify relevant research education and training needs to support the development and delivery of an innovative Trust wide education and training programme aimed at enhancing research competencies across UHL
· Engage with the clinical areas in Research awareness promoting and delivering education in research practice.
· Contribute to the development of the IEH research infrastructure to support local implementation of the IEH research objectives.
Work in close collaboration with the Education and Practice Development Team to ensure that the clinical areas provide a positive practice environment in research practice for new starters, students and learners.

1.2 Take a lead role in the facilitation and provision of research education and professional practice and expertise for staff whilst working in defined / allocated clinical area.
1.3 Participate in the development, implementation and delivery of competency based research practice education, supervision and assessment of staff in the practice setting.
1.4 Contribute to Trust wide core training delivering research practice such as Preceptorship, registrant Induction, OSCE Programme, Healthcare Support Worker Induction
1.5 Promote high quality clinical care and assist in the development and expansion of practice that meets the needs of the service and user.
1.6 Actively contribute to the support of leaners, supervisors and assessors within the clinical area to enrich the quality of their research learning experience.
1.7 Actively contribute to the education and training of Healthcare Support Workers acknowledging their growing contribution to the delivery of care in the clinical area.
1.8 Maintain clinical credibility and visibility by working in the practice setting in the support of clinical colleagues, care of patients when and where it is appropriate to the role.
1.9 To contribute to the local implementation of the UHL Induction and Study Leave Policies and the UHL Nursing, Midwifery and AHP Strategy

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
Please note if you are successful in obtaining this position and the post involves regulated activity you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The Trust will pay for the check initially and the money will then be deducted from your salary over a three month period commencing on your first month's payment.
The current price of a check is £38 for an enhanced and £18 for a standard check.
COVID 19 Risk Assessment
