Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an experienced Clinical Engineering Technologist to work within our Clinical Engineering team. Clinical Engineering is an essential clinical support service within our hospitals, providing whole life equipment management services for the range of medical equipment used to diagnose and treat patients throughout our hospitals. We are a dedicated team of around 35 members of staff based in workshops across the Trust. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual, to lead our technical team at National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery to deliver high quality medical equipment management services to specialist neuro clinical services including Theatres and Critical Care. This post would be ideal for someone who is passionate about staff training and development and has the resilience and tenacity to ensure high standards of service performance amongst competing priorities. The successful candidate will be supported to achieve RCT registration if they do not already hold it. The post-holder would be expected to support all team members achieve RCT registration within 3 years. Interviews are likely to be held w/c 14th October. Applicants must be able to attend an on-site interview.Main duties of the job The successful candidate will support multi-disciplinary teams to specify, procure and implement medical equipping projects and lead quality improvement and patient safety projects related to the whole life-cycle medical equipment. Knowledge of a range of clinical environments, experience of managing projects with a great attention to detail and excellent communication skills will be vital. There will be ample opportunities for quality and service improvement initiatives within the Section.
