Full Job Description

We wish to appoint a Clinical Fellow in Emergency medicine. The post is for 6 - 12 months. The role will consist of 80% of time in the Emergency department, and 20% of the time undertaking specialist interest work Major trauma/QIP., Full Registration with the GMC is essential. Experience and familiarity with UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent is essential.
The Emergency Medicine part of the post is based at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This is a regional Major Trauma Centre. It is also a specialist Stroke, Vascular surgery, Urology and Transplant centre.

The post is not educationally approved or recognised by the Royal College for training purposes but is educationally sound and well supported.
Candidates must have GMC registration that allows them to work in posts that are not recognised for training, and will ideally have Royal College Emergency Medicine membership +/- fellowship.
In addition to the above there will be a supplement for out of hours working.

Non Clinical 20%
The post includes 20% of non clinical time for project work. The choice of project can be made with
agreement of your educational supervisor. With a strong teaching and research base in the
department there are plenty of opportunities for projects
