Full Job Description

This post is particularly suited to those wishing to gain experience in neonatal stabilisation and transport with more detailed information in the attached Job Description.

In addition to the clinical experience gained, this post is ideal for those wishing to develop their skills in prioritisation and trouble-shooting and are suitable for those already in possession of CCT.Successful applicants are encouraged to undertake quality improvement projects and to develop their teaching skills by involvement in the local education programme and simulation training.

Applicants need to demonstrate an interest in Neonatology with a good level of procedural skills.

Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

1. A senior Paediatric trainee looking to gain experience in the stabilisation and transfer of sick neonates, who are looking to develop management and logistical decision making skills with the opportunity to act up as a consultant.

2. A senior clinical fellow not in the UK training system with good experience in neonatal medicine but wishing to gain further experience in neonatal transport.

This post has the opportunity of working in Neonatal PaNDR- (Paediatric and Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval Service) for the East of England.

This post offers training and experience identical to those of level 3 Specialty Trainees. You will have the opportunity to join in the wide range of educational and training opportunities within NICU and in Neonatal Transport which match those of recognised training posts., The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
