Full Job Description

This role will support the running of both Critical Care units in Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospitals. The post will also support the provision of on call services across both sites. This role will complement our current junior and middle grade rotas to continue to provide the high level of care for which our units are proud to deliver. Integral to the responsibilities of our posts are the following objectives:

  • to ensure the delivery of a high-quality patient-centred clinical service
  • to work in accordance with our trust's procedures and operating policies
  • to work within the framework of team decisions
  • to show initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility
  • Main duties of the job You will form part of the resident team and out of hours provide airway cover for the unit. Day time work consists of taking part in daily ward rounds, undertake procedures and jobs to support the care of Critical Care patients along with reviewing referrals. You will also support the Outreach team and work closely with the wider Critical Care MDT.
