Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trust Clinical Fellow in General Medicine as part of the Medical Specialties Directorate (Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Endocrine, Cardiology, Acute Medicine) to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing our Medical Specialties and associated specialist areas.
Proposed start date: February 2025
The post will give dedicated training in one of the General Medical specialties, participating in the General Medicine and Older Persons Services on call. It is suitable for those with at least two years in Medicine at SHO equivalent grade or above.
Salary basic plus on-call enhancements
We are a multidisciplinary team that is keen to support our speciality doctors in their career development, especially with any management, QI and educational opportunities that they may wish to pursue.
These posts are not recognised training posts however there are excellent teaching and postgraduate facilities. The post holders will be encouraged to attend a wide range of education meetings at lunchtimes throughout the week, and clinical experience will be gained from the Department's own educational programme.
