Full Job Description

The post will be of three months duration. The majority of the work will be based in the pain department at SCH, providing acute inpatient pain management and outpatient clinic based service. You may be asked to provide some evening and weekend acute pain service provision which will be compliant with the EWTD.

You will be encouraged to gain experience in other centres within our network for wider Paediatric Pain experience. Depending on availability and your wishes, this could be a block or regular day-release. There is also opportunity within theatre based work to undertake regional anaesthesia for post operative pain management to further ultrasound based skills.

The post is aimed at Anesthetists with FRCA and FFPMRCA or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their training in anaesthesia and pain and demonstrate an ongoing interest in paediatric practice.

Salary will be commensurate with experience from ST3-ST8, nodal band 4 or 5. A post CCT (or equivalent) doctor is likely to be on the highest ST8 banding.
