Full Job Description

+ To collaborate with safeguarding team and social care to meet the demands of the service.
+ To promote close working links with all providers of services for children, particularly within local primary care and the Southwest London Network
+ To manage a flexible approach to service provision, adapting practice and provision to meet changing needs
+ To work with consultant colleagues, other medical colleagues and junior doctors, professional and nursing colleagues and local managers to ensure the efficient and effective running of the service, + Provide CP medical Examination and reports.
+ To collaboratively work with safeguarding team, social care to meet the needs of CP medical.
+ To work alongside other consultant paediatricians and other care professionals to provide an up to date general and neonatal paediatric service.
+ To support junior doctors and nursing colleagues
+ To participate in service provision in general paediatrics.
+ To participate in delivering safeguarding teachings for junior doctors.
+ To participate in carrying out safeguarding audits.

Clinical Governance
+ To comply with the Trust's clinical governance policy and participate in relevant multidisciplinary and clinical audit projects. The department is actively involved in both national and local level audit
+ To undertake the clinical risk management and clinical governance activities of the department and trust
Continuing professional development
+ To ensure a register of continuing professional development is maintained, such as that via the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health
+ Involvement in departmental educational programme facilitating internal CME/CPD
+ Participate in external CPD
Training and Teaching
+ To provide safeguarding teaching for junior doctors.
+ To contribute to the in-house training programme for junior doctors
+ To contribute to the training of nurses and therapists or other staff in the trust, as well as health visitors, school nurses, paediatric home care nurses, practice nurses or therapists from the local CCGs that require input from safeguarding training
+ To contribute to the department's training of medical students and physician's associate, + To take an active role in the working of the paediatric service line and in the wider division
+ To collaborate with colleagues to ensure services develop to comply with current and future national guidelines
+ To support the trust and CCGs in the strategic development of integrated children's services including delivery of service within the community and supporting primary care colleagues
