Full Job Description

Applications are invited for a Trust Registrar post at Watford General Hospitals in General Surgery/Colorectal Surgery. The post will be for 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and forward looking colorectal unit with multi platform robotic operating capabilities and excellent results.

The core hours are 0800 - 1700 and 0800 - 2000 once a week on theatre days, The successful candidate will be working alongside the SpR training grades and will have full support by their teams and supervisors, so they can advance their experience and knowledge, in elective and emergency surgery.

It provides a great opportunity for 'hands on' operative experience working with highly experienced consultants. Watford is recognised as an advanced centre for laparoscopic and robotic work and training, particularly in Upper GI and colorectal, where virtually all elective cases are performed by these techniques.

With a new hospital planned for Watford and work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital, this is an exciting time to join us.
