Full Job Description

Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow Paediatrician based in the Paediatric Emergency Department at University Hospital Lewisham. These posts also involve overnight shifts and late shifts., These posts are an ideal opportunity for a suitably qualified individual looking to develop skills within a busy paediatric emergency medicine department. The positions will also allow the candidate to continue to meet their training and education objectives within their clinical responsibilities., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream

The post would be suitable for a Paediatric Trainee SHO level and above, or an Emergency Medicine trainee with a minimum of 6 months experience working in a Paediatric A&E Department. The successful individual will be contracted from 01 September 2024 to 03 March 2025 with the possibility of a contract extension thereafter, within Paediatrics .
