Full Job Description

This is one-year post with a possibility of extension for a second year depending on clinical and research assessment.

The post holder will be trained in all aspects of general fertility and assisted reproductive technology (ART). Activities will include outpatient assessment, ultrasound scanning, monitoring of ART treatment (ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination, IVF treatment, ICSI, ovum donation, surrogacy etc), transvaginal oocyte retrievals and tubal patency assessment; including hysterosalpingograms and Hycosys. They will also be exposed to sperm retrieval techniques and trans-abdominal oocyte retrieval as well as reproductive surgery.

The post holder will also have the opportunity to participate in the Fertility Preservation program, Menopause and Fertility-BRCA clinics.

The post holder will be encouraged to get involved in all aspects of Clinical Governance within the Fertility Department. The post holder will be encouraged to take an active part in each HFEA, CQC, ISO inspection and the preparation and implementation of the post-inspection action plans.
