Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Clinical Governance Administrator to provide a comprehensive and effective administrative service to the Governance team within the Medicine Care Group., The post holder will provide an effective, efficient and confidential administrative service to the Governance Team with minimal supervision.

The Governance Administrator will be responsible for maintaining electronic diary appointments. To collate relevant papers from multi professionals to produce the meeting agendas and distribution of these are issued within a timely manner.

The Governance Administrator will receive and respond to internal and external correspondence, taking appropriate and timely action as required, in accordance with Trust and/or departmental standards and processes.

The role incorporates the typing and distribution of confidential correspondence within timescales.

To take notes at meetings and ensure they are transcribed with accuracy and minutes distributed appropriately to all relevant professionals in a timely manner.

The post holder will maintain accurate and timely data entry to databases to meet service requirements.

The Governance Administrator requires to be highly organised to be able prioritise their own workload to meet the needs of the Governance team and ensure all deadlines are met.

We are looking for a highly organised, self-motivated individual, able to work on their own initiative, to organise and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines and with a good attention to detail.

The post holder should have experience and competence in the use of computer packages and software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Graphs.

The post holder will be able to plan, co-ordinate and support meetings and be able to record and transcribe minutes accurately. They should demonstrate good written skills and accuracy in written records with an eye for detail, with excellent grammar and punctuation skills.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
