Full Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who is looking to develop their management career to take on the role of Clinical Governance Officer within the General Surgery Directorate.
The role is to assist the Directorate Management Team, as directed by the Directorate Manager in the efficient and effective management of clinical governance and operational duties to ensure all mandatory requirements are fulfilled, in order to deliver and continue improving high quality patient care within the resources available., To assist with the management of complaints, mortality reviews and Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) within the Directorate in accordance with Trust policy and support with the preparation of draft responses to written complaints.
To plan and organise the audit meetings supporting the Audit Lead for the Directorate.
Medical examiner queries - liaising with relevant departments and core M&M team in responding to all queries. Carrying over to audit where necessary.
Datix's - investigating General Surgery logged Datix's, liaising with teams across the board to resolve.
Attendance at the Directorate and Divisional Governance meetings providing a monthly report of updates on complaints, Datix's Statutory and Mandatory training & PDRs
To support risk management processes
Timely completion of Freedom of Information Requests
