Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has a risen for a motivated and dynamic Nurse to join our Clinical Haematology team as part of our Red Cell service. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise and be a registered non-medical prescriber. Working in the inpatient, outpatient and day case setting the successful candidate will assess patients, plan, deliver and monitor the care and management of patients with Red Cell disorders, in particular our Haemoglobinopathy patients. LUHFT host the Specialist Haemoglobinopathy Service for Cheshire and Merseyside jointly with Alder Hey Children's Hospital, and the successful applicant will be a core member of this team.,

  • Assess patients and plan, implement and evaluate care using specialist clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Review patients and provide care in inpatient, outpatient and day ward settings.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
  • Provide education and support to patients, carers and colleagues.
  • Participate in audit, research and service development within the Haematology service.
