Clinical Healthcare Support Worker, Band 3- Fracture Clinic

To be responsible for working with colleagues and managers to provide a safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients and visitors

- To support cross county provision of services, working in both of the counties Orthopaedic and fracture clinics.

- Under guidance, deliver safe patient care within a challenging and changing clinical environment, using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate.

- To act as a chaperone for patients attending clinic appointments.

- Undertake specific delegated tasks following the appropriate training and competency level e.g. patient observations and patient personal hygiene, application of simple off the shelf splints and braces, remove plaster casts, record ECG, MRSA screening and venepuncture, arranging admission of patients to wards from clinic.

Ability to get on well with people at all levels and work effectively as a team member.

We are always looking to improving our service, and have taken of several audits and studies surrounding patient centred care and patient information. We welcome new ideas, and staff's innovations as well as training and developing our staff.
