Full Job Description
We are recruiting for Housekeepers who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will be joining our Medical : Same Day Emergency Care - Unplanned Care Division at Lister Hospital. SDEC provides a specialised service for the rapid assessment and treatment of a variety of medical complications.
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the Medical Same Day Emergency Care unit.
This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure that all areas meet health and safety standards. You will work closely with medical staff to support patient care by providing a hygienic setting that promotes recovery and well-being.
You will be responsible for the provision of a high quality service by meeting and greeting visitors to the ward. Supported by the ward manager and the ward clinical team to ensure a customer friendly approach is used in interactions with patients and stakeholders. You will also support the general running of the ward by being involved in general organisational.

We encourage you to embrace these values throughout the recruitment process and in your role with us., A Clinical Housekeeper in a Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit plays a vital role in ensuring that the environment is clean, organized, and safe for both patients and staff:
Cleaning and Disinfection:
Ensuring patient bays, treatment rooms, and common areas are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
Adhering to infection control protocols, including proper cleaning of high-touch surfaces and equipment.
Stocking and Replenishment:
Ensuring that essential supplies, such as PPE, hand sanitizers, towels, and cleaning products, are stocked and available.
Waste Management:
Responsible for proper disposal of clinical waste, including sharps, contaminated items, and non-hazardous waste.
Environmental Safety:
Reporting any maintenance issues, such as broken equipment, leaks, or other hazards, to the appropriate department.
Supporting Clinical Staff:
Providing basic assistance to staff in preparing treatment areas for procedures, including setting up trolleys and restocking items.
Compliance with Policies:
Following hospital and department policies related to infection control, health and safety, and environmental cleanliness.
