Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion Clinical Lead. The post holder will be the Clinical Lead over our custody provision in St Anne Street, Belle Vale, Copy Lane and Wirral custody suites.

Liaison and Diversion is a process of support of people coming through the criminal justice system, and diverting people from this pathway where possible through engagement with service users with vulnerabilities. A significant part of the role is liaising with criminal justice system stakeholders and colleagues to provide advice, guidance and support., To provide strategic clinical leadership in relation to an area of specialismusing the most up to date and evidence based theory.

To undertake expert assessment, planning, implementation and evaluationof care for a specific group of service users.

To offer expert clinical advice for service users, carers, staff and otherprofessionals.

To demonstrate advanced competence in highly complex decision making,assessment and the management of clinical needs within the specialistarea of practice.

To work in partnership with service users, carers and other agencies toensure effectiveness of outcomes.
