Full Job Description

Patient Flow are looking to recruit a Clinical Lead who will cover the West Kent area for 12 month secondment. Please be advised that you will need authorisation from your manager to be released for this role. This will include covering the 5 wards at Priority House. You could be asked to cover other sites in Maidstone and Dartford.
Clinical Leads provide clinical and operational management out of hours to a wide range of staff groups including inpatient, CRHT, rehab and liaison psychiatry.
Patient Flow was established in 2018 in order to lead on bed management and reduce the number of patients in out of area acute beds. Part of the Clinical Lead role will be to form part of the bed management rota and be responsible for triaging referrals for informal admissions, and allocating beds appropriately based on availability and patients needs.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)., The shifts cover a 24/7 pattern and working hours include Monday-Friday 3-11pm, Saturday and Sunday 07.50-21.00 and nights Monday-Sunday 22.30-0900.
· The post holder will have overall responsibility for all clinical services in the designated locality.
· The post holder will be expected to be the first point of contact for frontline staff needing clinical advice, supported by on-call manager and on-call director.
· The post holder will be responsible for managing beds, and form part of a bed management rota to ensure beds are managed 24/7
· The post holder will coordinate appropriate admissions/discharges/transfers of care across care groups out of hours.
· The post holder will participate in teleconference calls when on duty as required.
· Act as the sole contact point for requests to on-call services, managers and directors, supporting and meeting the needs of the services and service users as they arise.
