We are seeking to recruit an 8a Clinical Lead to work within our expanding, multi-disciplinary early intervention SEND Mental Health Support Team (MHST)., The MHST delivers evidence-based interventions supporting emotional wellbeing, primarily in an educational setting. This includes group interventions, individual interventions, consultation, and training and incorporates full assessments of care needs and risk assessments. The aim of the MHST is to support a whole school approach to develop, build, and support emotional well-being.

Interviews will be run either in person at one of our bases or using Microsoft Teams, full details and instructions will be provided to successful candidates. Interview date: 20th December 2024, · To provide complete clinical oversight of the MHST service
· To ensure clinical oversight of all resources, documentation, and processes
· To provide leadership within the MHST and provide clinical line management and supervision as professionally appropriate in the team.
· To ensure the MHST are meeting current need and working towards a whole school approach to emotional wellbeing
· To provide CPD training to continually develop the team's learning to fulfil their role.
· To provide a qualified highly specialist community service to children and young people with learning disabilities and/or an autistic spectrum disorder who present with challenging behaviour, toileting, feeding and/or sleeping concerns and/or mental health difficulties, and to their families across all sectors of care.
· To exercise responsibility for the systematic governance for their practice within the service.
· To actively contribute to the establishment and development of MHST.
· To establish effective working relationships with care providers on the client's pathway including Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, Child Development Centers, Social Care and Education.
· To engage self in the clinical network & care pathway for the client group and actively contribute to the further development of such networks/pathway.
· In conjunction with the MHST Operational Lead, the PALMS' Service Lead, the MHST CYPMHS Commissioning Manager and other members of the management team, to maintain and develop the MHST for Special Schools across Hertfordshire and West Essex.
· To provide a high-quality service to meet the needs of children and young people (CYP) in educational settings and their parents/carers.
· In addition to providing specialist skills and experience in delivering interventions in an educational setting the post holder will provide formal and informal education and training to other members of the team, other disciplines, and teams.
· The postholder will also provide clinical supervision to the EMHPs and other MHST colleagues as appropriate providing clinical Leadership and advice across the MHST Service.

We are seeking to appoint a forward-thinking Clinical lead who is committed to the successful delivery of the project. The post is permanent and full time (Flexible or part time working will be considered), based in St Albans with regular planned travel across Hertfordshire and West Essex., + Able to oversee all clinical interventions and resources within the service
+ Provide clinical supervision to Band 5,6 and 7 staff
+ Provide learning and development opportunities for the whole team
+ Assess and manage risk and safeguarding.
+ Able to establish and maintain effective inter-agency and inter-team communication.
+ Able to plan and to lead workshops and therapeutic groups
+ Able to maintain a high degree of professionalism when working in settings where there is a highly emotive atmosphere.
