It is an exciting time to come and work in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin's Children, Young People and Families Services. We have received additional investment to improve the support available. As a result, we are pleased to be able to advertise a number of new roles both substantive and fixed-term posts. We can welcome clinicians who want to work in Children's Mental Health Services. Where people are interested in applying but would need to relocate we can support with associated incentives. Where people are interested and passionate about working with children but have identified additional training, we may be able to train staff to develop the appropriate skills.
An exciting opportunity is available as Clinical Lead in the Neurodiversity Pathway, with a specific focus on the Autism Assessment Team.
This role will be suitable for a Psychologist who has experience of working with children with neurodiversity and who is experienced in or would like to progress into a Clinical Lead position.
The neurodiversity pathway provides assessments and treatments to children with symptoms of Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC/D) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The successful applicant will work closely with other leads working within Neurodiversity and clinically lead the team, oversee the diagnostic process and chairing Multi-Disciplinary Meetings. The role will provide leadership over the service and provide supervision to the MDT., This position will be providing clinical leadership to the Autism Assessment team which is a diagnostic assessment team that provides NICE compliant diagnostic assessment to children and young people who live in Telford, Shropshire and Wrekin.
The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of Neurodiversity and/or Autistic Spectrum Conditions and assessments. Although, it is desirable that they are trained and experienced in ADOS and ADI assessments, it is not essential, full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
