Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Physical Health Nurse (RGN) who is keen to develop their personal and professional career by taking up an exciting and interesting role as Clinical Lead for Oxfordshire's Community Care Home Support Service (CHSS)., This is a full time or part time (30 hours per week minimum), permanent post working alongside two other Clinical Leads (another Physical Health Nurse and an AHP/Mental Health Lead) to line manage and clinically lead a team of approximately 10 of the 30 strong team. The Care home support service is a county wide service delivering support to residents and care staff in over 120 Residential and Nursing Care Homes across Oxfordshire. You should have a keen interest and preferably experience of working with and supporting frail older adults.,
- Manage a small team of clinicians. To lead the delivery of the nursing/physical health component of the service and to ensure clinical excellence supported by evidence-based practice.
- Provide specialist advice, support and consultancy to health professionals, patients, and relatives.
- Approximately 50% of your time will be managing your own caseload of Care Homes with the other 50% supporting, leading and developing your team of clinicians, and contributing to overall service development, delivery and progression.
This could be a great opportunity to develop leadership and management skills - training and development opportunities will be made available with support and supervision from colleagues and your Operational Manager, though experience of managing, leading, mentoring colleagues would be beneficial. Ability to travel between sites and to regional meetings is required for this role. Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work.
