Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join HEIW's Multi Professional Primary and Community Care Education and Training Unit (PaCCET) supporting the education and training of staff working in primary and community services.
The postholder will need to consider local and organisational needs and policy direction, as well as national guidance that may be issued by Welsh Government, professional organisations and regulatory bodies; and will also support primary and community care education and training policy development and implementation
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for the strategic transformation of the education and training of our current and future pharmacy staff across the Welsh Primary and Community Care settings. The postholder will work as part of a team alongside colleagues from nursing, allied health professionals, paramedicine and GPs to lead and develop a programme of work that will enhance multi professional training and education across primary and community settings.
Whilst the postholder will formally report within the Pharmacy Deanery , matrix working will be expected as the postholder will liaise and support the work of the Heads of the Multi Professional Training and Education Unit.
The postholder will lead on transforming the education and training of the pharmacy primary and community care workforce, identifying opportunities for inter-professional learning within the multi-professional team within primary and community services.
Applicants will have a passion for the development of high-quality education and training; be a skilled communicator; be used to working in a complex environment with multiple professional groups; and be committed to driving forward an exciting, ambitious and transformational national agenda.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
